We get it- kids can be particular.
And Mighty Kids supplements can be an unfamiliar and strong flavour at first. The good news is we have heard from so many parents that even when their child hated it at first, after some gentle persuasion, dilution and repeated exposure, they eventually ended up taking it neat off a spoon!
Research says it can take 8-15 times of introducing a new food or flavour before a child adjusts. This can be even harder for kids with additional support or sensory needs! But we know you see the amazing value and want them to have all the incredible support of these liposomal nutrients, so we have compiled some tried and true tips and testimonials to help you.
TIPS FOR DILUTING/DISGUISING
- Mighty Kids Supplements can be added to any food or drink.
- Just be aware they cannot be frozen, heated or blended, as this can denature the liposomes and reduce the powerful absorption. (lightly warmed milk/drinks are perfectly fine!)
- There is no loss of efficiency with diluting to a high amount, you would just need to ensure that the entire drink is consumed to get the full dose of supplement.
- Some parents find it helpful to split the dose into 2 servings through the day to make it easier to disguise.
- It could even be helpful to begin at 1ml and work up slowly as they adjust to the new flavour.
While most love it, some kids do not like the syrupy sweetness, and so adding equal amounts of Lemon or Lime juice can cut it nicely and particularly with the Apple Magnesium, itâs like a sour apple sweetie!
You can also try adding to:
Fresh Juice
Milk
Water
Yoghurt
Porridge

*remember to add the supplement AFTER blending shakes/smoothies!

MAGNESIUM GUMMIES
7 days worth for 5-11 year olds
14 days worth for 1-4 year olds
170ml juice of choice
1 tablespoon gelatine
1 tablespoon honey/maple syrup
70ml magnesium
Add the tablespoon of gelatine to 50ml of the juice and leave to bloom for 15 mins.
Put 120ml of juice in a pan. Add the bloomed gelatine and the honey and heat gently until the gelatine is dissolved.
Leave to cool.
Once cooled, add the magnesium and stir.
Pour into moulds.
Leave to set in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
Divide the number of gummies that you make by 7 and this is how many gummies your 5-11 year old needs to take per day (if your child is 1-4 years old, they will take half that amount and it will last them 14 days.)
For example, if you end up with 35 gummies, a 5-11 year old will need 5 gummies per day and a 1-4 year old will need 2.5 gummies per day.
If you end up with a number that doesnât divide by 7, donât worry – the mineral is slowly released into the bloodstream so it doesnât matter if one day they have a little bit more or less. You could always put them into a baking tray rather than moulds and just cut into equal serving sizes.
