Dosage information (100ml bottle)

Why do children need vitamin D?

Vitamin D (which acts as a pro-hormone in the body) helps to strengthen teeth & bones, improve immunity, regulate hormones, support normal muscle function, and more!

It is made by skin cells through UV exposure. If there is limited UV exposure (sunshine!) available, the risk of deficiency increases substantially. This is particularly true for the UK and other areas of the Northern Hemisphere.

It is estimated that at least 20% of the UK population has a Vitamin D deficiency, and over 60% have less than sufficient levels. Supplementation during the Autumn and Winter months is recommended by health professionals to ensure optimal levels are maintained throughout the year.

There are many studies showing correlations between lack of sunshine and lower immune response, mood regulation, and optimal growth and development.
